HIGH School Diploma Preparation Classes starting soon


Taking applications for High School diploma preparation classes for January! Eligible students can enroll in a career program simultaneously!

The High School Diploma (GED) Preparation program offers a variety of classes that will allow us to partner with you in your educational and career goals. Upon successful completion of our program, you will be able to take the exam through the State of New Jersey.   

You must be withdrawn from high school prior to entry into this program.  Payments and registration must be completed prior to classes.

The following areas are covered for the High School (TASC) test:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Mathematics
  • Social Studies
  • Science

Eligibility

  • At least 16 years of age
  • Formally withdrawn from a regular high school program
  • Take a CASAS Test

You will also have the opportunity to complete your Transition Portfolio as you plan for your future while you are working towards obtaining your New Jersey State High School Diploma:

  • Complete career interest survey(s)
  • Be introduced to applications for scholarships and scholarship essays
  • Be introduced and begin the process to apply through One Stop and other financial assistance
  • Complete a job application, work resume, and cover letter
  • Review interview skills
  • You will have the opportunity to speak to our counselors/coaches

Prospective students must attend a (TASC) GED Workshop before being permitted to schedule the CASAS test if; you have not yet taken it.  

NON-REFUNDABLE TUITION is $50. You may pay by personal check (with printed address and phone number), cash, money order or debit/credit card.  Please note there is a 3% convenience fee to pay by credit/debit card.

Enrollment Process

  1. Schedule and attend a mandatory workshop. Workshops are held every Monday at 9:00 am and 12:00 pm and Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm and are approximately 1 hour. However, you must call to sign up or enroll online. Check the calendar on the homepage for summer dates and times.  Location: 2201 route 38, suite 800Administrative Office (NOTE: Returning students who have attended a previous workshop are not required to attend an additional session.)

2. Complete the Application

3. Students should not schedule the TASC until they have attended the workshop.  All testers must check-in at the front office and get a visitor badge prior to reporting to the Learning Resource Center (LRC).

4.  Submit TASC scores and fee payment of $50 per quarter to the Administrative Office. Students will receive a school ID badge and the notice of the first day of class.

As a TASC (GED) student at ATI, you will choose one of the class schedule times shown below. 

Monday – Friday: 

        AM Session: 10:30 am – 1:30 pm

        PM Session:  6:00 pm – 9:00 pm 

Tuesday and Thursday:

Monday & Wednesday: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
